Day 1: Kiddie stuff - kid’s books, toys, bottles, etc.
Day 2: Tech stuff - SmartMedia cards, digital cameras, GPS, etc.
Day 3: Patio furniture - Chairs, outdoor lights, etc.
Day 1, I can understand as I bought Harry Potter books using this account, as well as a Pokemon picture book that I donated to the local library (I needed it to use a $xx off $xx purchase coupon).
Day 2, I can understand since pretty much everything else I bought using this account was either sci-fi or gadgetry of some sort.
Personally, I think that Amazon “pushes” certain products, probably overstocks and closeouts. I’ve gotten a lot of cookwear and kid’s items, and I’ve never ordered any such thing from Amazon or put it on my wish list. Sometimes I check my new recommendations, find a completely weird item for my tastes, ask “Why was I recommended this?” and learn that:
I think that this really means that they’ve got too many widgets, and are recommending them to EVERYONE, regardless of customer profile. I don’t mind having a customer profile, it’s certainly given me more items to choose from that I might have otherwise missed…but I’d like them to be more honest about why they recommend things.

Black & Decker MM675 18" Lawn Hog Electric Mulching Mower with Flip-Handle (Special Gold Box Price: $179.99)
Black & Decker CST2000 12-volt Cordless Grass Hog 12" Trimmer/Edger with Auto Feed Spool (AFS) (Special Gold Box Price: $85.49) [we use a $20 weed whacker from walmart and it does just fine]
I’ve only checked my gold box once, I remember it had 2 sets of wine glasses in there, but don’t remember the other 3 things. I’ve never bought anything but books and 2 James Bond movies for my nephew last Christmas, so why would they think I’d wants to buy glasses?
I looked at mine yesterday and it was all musical tech stuff: Mp3 players, CD players, headphones, and such.
I never bought any such thing from them, but I have bought CDs.
