I know the feeling, the Jackery I bought… god, now 5-6 years ago was useful, but can’t compare to newer models. I was shopping around for a new option around this time last year… and then we got the first PHEV. Since it’s fully equipped to run devices off the Traction battery and has it’s own internal ICE generator if needed to recharge (snerk), it became a non-issue. Especially after we got the second PHEV.
As far as I’m concerned, the cornerstone of any good road trip is at least one bag of Funyuns. Everything else is pretty much optional.
Other than on a road trip, I never eat those things. I don’t even think I really like them so much as I feel like they’re like the signifier of the start of a trip. I think it’s something I picked up back in the days of my long 10 hour drives back-and-forth to see my parents when I was in college.
