The Way I Am
IMO, ** Role Model**.
Since I haven’t purchased The Eminem Show yet, I’m going to have to go with Stan.
The first time I heard it, I got chills I was so creeped out.
However, when I’m in a pissy mood, there is nothing like singing The Way I am to vent frustration.
Cleaning Out My Closet
Its so full of real and raw emotions, many of which I can relate to.
Without Me.
Cleaning Out My Closet is depressing, IMHO, although Amp is right … lots of raw emotion there. When I first heard it I wondered what the hell his mother did to him to make him that resentful. I hope someday he can get over the anger.
WV_Woman- Having only heard “Cleaning Out My Closet” twice, I felt that he was trying to get rid of the anger by making the song, or at least explain why he was angry in the first place.
Either way, dude has got some issues.
Well, I’d have to say that my personal favorites are the ones where he’s either gay bashing, talking about raping women, or talking about killing the mother of his child.
Most of the singles; I tend to find the album tracks are mainly filler.
I nominate Cleaning Out My Closet, because I thought music couldn’t shock any more.
For all the above reasons, plus the fact that it reminds me of my own mother, which just kind of messes me ALL up, I agree with the nomination for “Cleaning Out My Closet.” But I still haven’t bought The Eminem Show, so I have to base that agreement on the few times I’ve heard the censored version on MTV. So disqualifying myself from voting for it for that reason, my favorite Eminem song would have to be “The Way I Am.”
