What's the coolest compliment you've ever received?

Without a doubt the coolest compliment I ever received is hearing my daughter, barely old enough to talk, showing a broken toy to her mother, saying “Don’t worry, Daddy can can fik (fix) it”

A few weeks/months ago, my co-workers were talking about the difficulties the Los Alamos labs were having after the fire. The boss’ assistant said, “Let’s send Rilchiam out there; she’ll have them up and running in two days!”.

After I played in a college cricket match, one of my teammates (who had played for India Universities) told me I “bowled off-spin like an Indian”.

Since India has produced so many good spin bowlers, I took that as a major compliment.

Hmm . . .

I’ve been called: ‘amazing’ (Jen), ‘uncouth’ (Ike), and ‘entertaining’ (several people), but I think my favorite was when I left a Detachment someone said “We are losing an icon.”

Wow.

Tripler
Because some things are better left unsaid when she’s around.
