What's The Fast DSL You Could Get In Theory

OK I have DSL and it’s a 6.0 download. I consistantly get 5.1 which is just what AT&T said I’d get. Fair enough.

But I got to wondering, IN THEORY, what is the fastest DSL you could get.

I am aware it depends on condition of wires, and distance from the DSL center, but is 6.0 the limit in theory. I never see any DSL advertised at more than that.

6.0 = 6Mbps?
In Australia ADSL 2+ runs at around 20Mbps.

I think currently the fastest is VDSL2.
