What's the furthest I could travel without encountering a rural area?

If you have the idea that you can just cruise from one truly urban area to another along the Eastern seaboard from Washington to Boston, that is flat out false. There are towns in an almost unbroken line across the vast majority of it but it certainly isn’t urban among much of the route. There are small towns, farms. vast nature preservation and everything in between along that route. I have driven most of America. It isn’t the West where single gas stations are 100 miles apart and you need survival gear just to cross the desert but it certainly isn’t all urban either. We still have farms and small towns on the East Coast plus massive amounts of conservation land.

Even the East Coast isn’t Europe. There is still tremendous amounts of free and preserved land.
