What's the most useless key on the keyboard?

Y’all may want to stop ripping keys off your keyboards. There are free programs out there (KeyTweak is one, Google for it) that will let you remap these keys without the physical destruction (and as easy as hitting the key and selecting from a menu)

The Windows key, for example, is easy to accidentally hit while playing games (which usually drops you out of fullscreen), but as other folks have mentioned, it’s useful for combinations. So I map the left one to be an additional Control key, and map some other useless key to be Windows instead.

This is really random and maybe a hijack, but it really bothers me that as far as I know there’s no way to select text and capitalize or uncapitalize it similarly to how one can use ctrl-b or ctrl-i.

I don’t know if there’s a keyboard shortcut, but you can quickly change capitalizations in Word.

Select the text you want to change.
Go to “Format” “Change Case”.
Select the case you want to change it to.
The available cases are:

Title Case - This Is A Test
Upper Case - THIS IS A TEST
Lower Case - this is a test
Sentence Case - This is a test

I’m pretty sure I’ve never once used the ‘Scroll Lock’ or ‘Pause/Break’ keys for anything.

The proper use of the Pause/Break key: :dubious:

Press the Control key and Print Screen key together.
Paste into Microsoft Paint. Save image.
On Desktop, hide icons and hide Tilebar(on the bottom of you screen)
Replace Desktop image with the MSPaint image you previously saved.
Press Pause/Break key.

I nominate the tilde (~) key. Nobody uses ~ in URL’s anymore, so what’s the point? And that backwards apostrophe (`) is equally pointless.

What is the Pause/Break key suppose to do in this case?
I don’t think what you describes works in vanilla XP Pro.

Pressing the Windows Key and the Pause key does something very useful however, especially if you need to work on dozens of different computers during the week. It quickly pulls up the windows Properties in all Win95 to Win XP operating systems.

I’m new here, am I the first to mention the help key? When I hit it I just curse because I know I have to wait for that garbage to load up and then I have to close it.

By the way, I use a Mac, and ours go to F16. I don’t know what it does but 14 and 15 change the contrast.
