What's the name of this 80's kid's show?

From a friend of mine:

I am trying to remember the name of a TV show back in the early 80’s and I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. Here is what I remember…

Saturday morning kids TV show about a group of people (‘scientists’) who travel around in this BIG funky white motor home in a post apocalyptic setting. (Just what every growing child needs to see with his fruit loops.)

There were four main cast members:
The Caucasian bearded male named Adam, tall blond and was able to use this really cool jet pack. (Granted he always landed in the same place…let’s hear it for stock footage.)

An Asian woman named Eve; she drove this jeep looking thing. (All I remember about her was she seemed to get kidnapped a lot by the cavemen running around. Which gave Adam a reason to done his jet pack and go zooming off!)

There was this kid with them, I believed he filled the comic relief, sidekick role.

And last there was a monkey…every show needed a monkey. (Hey, at least the monkey could drive the BIG funky white motor home, which was more than the kid could do.)

They all dressed in these white jumpsuits (even the monkey) that had color bands on the sleeves, while the supporting cast of refugees dressed as cavemen or serfs.

That’s all I remember, I hope I jogged someone’s neurons and they can tell me the name of this show so I can at least feel like I’m not insane . . .

Ark II.

Sorry, too lazy to look for a website or anything. I think the show was “Ark II”.

That would be Ark II. I remember being very sad when it went off the air.
