I didn’t use to use a snooze alarm, in fact, I usually didn’t even need the alarm, most of the time, I’d wake up a minute before it went off.
Then my back went out on me. No matter how much I try to train myself, I always end up in some sort of horrible position when I wake up, with my back cramped and sore.
I didn’t start using snooze to wake up later, I started setting my alarm earlier. That way, when my alarm goes off, I can wake up enough to roll over onto my back and start stretching it back out. I usually doze off a bit, but as long as I don’t roll over, 30 minutes or so of laying flat on my back makes my day go a whole lot better. I use the snooze in case I do fall back asleep, I don’t oversleep.
