Were all the videos dubbed? If not, which ones weren’t? What amount of the overal video/audio was dubbed?
Seems like you both are splitting hairs.
What difference does it make? If we know he faked part of the audio, then none of the videos are trustworthy. He’s also never released the unedited videos, so we don’t know what’s on them or what else he cut out. We know that at least some of what he released was deceptive in that employees were joking with him thinking he was nutcase, and he edited the video to make it look like they were being serious (like the employee who was goofing on him about having killed her husband)/
We also know that no wrongdoing by ACORN was found by any of the investigations.

That’s too bad if the full transcripts aren’t available. I remember originally hearing about the ACORN scandal, then hearing how biased O’Keefe was so I managed to view the actual transcript to see how edited the footage was. I think it was the Baltimore video where the lady talks about burying the money in the backyard.
My opinion, I think O’Keefe is obviously wrong for making these videos and then just putting them out there without going back to verify anything. The LA turned out that the guy actually did call the cops, but because the videos were put out so fast, he lost his job at ACORN.
Then the one where the lady claimed she shot her husband, it turned out that she didn’t shoot her husband.
However, the other two videos showed the ACORN employees accepting them as a prostitute and her boyfriend who takes her money (which would be a pimp), and giving them advice on how to write it as income.
How many words need to be changed to change the meaning of a sentence?

In the same way that Jews who don’t believe in God are still Jews if they identify themselves as Jews.
The Quran and the Ahadith say nothing about gays that the Bible doesn’t say. Lots of practicing Christians and Jews don’t hate gays or want to kill them.
Why do you think it’s different for Muslims.
I don’t, just as many Christians don’t believe in the divinity of Jesus or the resurrection and many Jews don’t believe in God period.

You read a transript of what? Made by who? O’Keefe has never released the original audio, so how can it be transcribed?

I’m trying to google unedited ACORN videos and so far I’ve found that Jerry Brown was given the unedited videos of the LA and San Bernadino ones.
That’s the problem, it was a ways back when it was first announced that the vidoes were heavily edited. So if the unedited Baltimore video was never put out then, I wasn’t reading the full transcript, but earlier you said there was no unedited videos and so far I’m finding that there are atleast two that have been given out.
He posed as the boyfriend trying to get his prostitute girlfriend away from an abusive pimp. The money he was getting from his prostitute girlfriend was going to him to fund his future political ambitions. If you have a girlfriend, and she’s a prostitute, and she gives you her earnings, then you are a pimp. Not to mention he was talking about bringing in salvadorian girls as prostitutes.
Then again, if the videos are edited, none of this matters. But since you’re saying he never presented himself as a pimp, your relying on some aspect of the videos as being true.
It wasn’t the Baltimore interview, which was the one which received the most media attention.
In one of the interviews, part of O’keefe’s questions were inaudible, so he dubbed them in, but neither ACORN, Harshbarger, or the California AG has claimed that O’Keefe inserted different questions than what he actually asked.
Also, as I’ve reiterated several times, this wasn’t one of the interviews that resulted in people being fired.
Harshbarger doesn’t accuse them of making it look like ACORN employees answered questions they weren’t asked, so it’s ridiculous for us to claim that they did just because O’Keefe is a scumbag.
That’s not true. Full audios were available at Breitbart’s website Biggovernment.com. They were something like 45 to 50 minutes a piece. I listened to the Baltimore one and it was quite boring for the most part.
IIRC, the Baltimore employees were terminated.
At the time I listened to it, I assumed that the Baltimore employees thought it was a gag and were playing along because I though O’Keefe went in there in his Superfly outfit.
It’s not the same at all. Jews are also an ethnic group. Islam is not. Islam is just a religion. If you don’t believe in the religion, you aren’t a Muslim. It has no other meaning. If you think that “Muslim” has anything other than a religious definition, please tell me what it is. I’m starting to think I know more about it than you do.
Whether the Bible clearly says anything about homosexuality is up for debate. Not so with the Qur’an and the Hadith. Muhammed unambiguously said to kill anybody caught in homosexual acts.
You are really confused about the meanings of those words. Of those three groups, only “Jew” has a non-religious meaning in addition to a religious one. Anyone who doesn’t beleive in the divinity of Christ is not a Christian. That’s what the word means. Anyone who does not believe that Muhammed was God’s prophet is not a Muslim. The word has no meaning other than the religious. If you disagree, please tell me what the wordm “Muslim” means.

Anyway, back to the OP.
I think the major difference between O’Keefe and other “journalists” is that they don’t get arrested for illegally entering government offices.
Also, while Moore and others have been guilty of tricky editing, misleading statements, splicing together video and audio of two different speeches and even creating a fake political ad which he attributed to George H. W. Bush but he never did anything like the dumb stunt O’Keefe tried to pull with the CNN reporter.
I’m also a bit confused as to why O’Keefe hasn’t been prosecuted for taping so many people without their consent.
Don’t most states have laws forbidding such recording without people’s consent. That’s why on shows like COPS and What Would You Do, the audio for some people is distorted and their faces are blurred out, because they didn’t sign the consent forms.
In fact, that’s another way in which he’s different from The What Would You Do people.

Having spent some time around ACORN types and in those neighborhoods as a community organizer for a couple of years, I knew the second I saw that kid in that pimp outfit that there was no way in hell any of those ladies, or anyone in those hoods, would have bought him as a real pimp in a million years. If he had actually gone into the offices in that getup, they would have laughed themselves sick.
I guess it took him a few tries before he could get anything usable on tape, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he tried it with the costume once or twice, and found out it was backfiring.
I’n pretty sure thos “full tapes” that are hosted on some websites are just the edited tapes he gave to Fox News and Breitbart. As far as I know, he has still never given anyone the original raw footage, and I would bet that he destroyed it.
Well I’m not going to hunt this down. If there are not full, unedited videos, then there’s not much point in discussing it.
If O’Keefe is so confident in what he’s trying to expose I can’t see a reason for not putting out the unedited videos for EVERYONE to see.

“Ethnicity” is a modern concept that was, until recently, utterly foreign to Muslims. Until recently Muslims viewed themselves simply as “Muslims” not Arabs or Turks and if you were born into a Muslim family, you were a Muslim.
The Umma is a very real concept and just as true as the idea of the Jews being part of the same “tribe”.
As for my opinions of what constitutes a Muslim the answer is that if someone identifies themselves as a Muslim and comes from a Muslim family then they are one.
Similarly, there are lots of people, including some Reform Rabbis, who aren’t viewed as Jews by Orthodox Rabbis because their mothers weren’t from Jewish families, but most of us would still view them as Jews.
The Bible also quite unambiguously says to kill anyone engaged in homosexual acts so I’m not sure why you think that what the Bible says about homosexuality is “up for debate” while it’s not up for debate what the Quran and he Ahadith say.
There are lots of self-identified Christians who don’t.
Like I said, ethnicity and nationality are modern, western concepts. Muslims have always thought of themselves as being part of the same tribe, which they refer to as the Umma, just as Jews feel the same. The same is true of the Druze, the Yazdis, the Mandaeans, and other groups in the Middle East.
In this regard, Muslims are more like Jews then Christians.
So yes, there are plenty of Muslims who don’t go to Mosque, nor pray five times a day, and who like to drink alcohol, chase women, eat pork, watch porn, and listen to heavy metal.
And yes, like Jews we see ourselves as part of one tribe or, if you prefer nation, though we use the term Umma instead.

Harshbarger, since he was hired by ACORN would have a vested interest in claiming the tapes he viewed had been faked or that they weren’t the originals, but he makes no such claims.
