What's The SD On Nazi Antigravity Experiments?

There have been several video clips posted on YouTube, about (reputed) Nazi experiments with an anti-gravity device (“die glock”=“the bell”).
This was said to be a machine that would rise up under its own power, and hover. The structure (where it was allegedly tested) resembles an old coal gas plant (minus the tank), and there is no evidence given beyond some old grainey photos.
I have a few questions:
-if the Nazis did develop “antigravity”, then why did the invest so much time in rocketry development?
-who started this story (about this bell-like thing)?
-I also recall seeing something on this, on the SyFy channel-looks like pretty low level stuff to me

If videos on Youtube are the only evidence, it doesn’t exist.
Ditto for seeing a show on SyFy.

If it did exist and was kept secret, any videos that showed the truth would not be on Youtube.

There’s no way the Nazis had the tech that long ago, we don’t have the tech now.

In addition, Nazi scientists had the prospect that post WW-II Germany might be as nasty a place to live as post WW-I Germany was. Most were quite eager to barter whatever skills and knowledge they had for safety from war crime prosecution, a job, a pleasant place to live, and funding and other resources to continue their work. Werner Von Braun being an example of this.

If it existed, the allies got the technology. The only way it existed and we don’t know of it is if the allies were able to keep it a secret.

It’s also not impossible that the Nazis had tried to develop antigravity (though there’s no good evidence of it) and failed entirely, leaving behind nothing but a legacy that they’d tried this for Syfy shows to pretend to mull over.

I wouldn’t be in the least surprised if the Nazis attempted it: Government scientists have tried all sorts of crazy things, especially when the government in question is losing a war for its very survival and is getting desperate. And I also wouldn’t be all that surprised if some of the [del]alchemists faked making gold[/del] scientists faked up a convincing demonstration of the purported tech, so as to continue to get funding, blood flow, and a zyklon-free breathing supply. But I’m absolutely convinced that they didn’t succeed. Aside from the whole thing about overturning everything we think we know about the laws of physics (hey, it’s happened before), it would also be impossible to keep something like that a secret.

Die Glocke (German for “The Bell”) is the name of a purported top secret Nazi scientific technological device. The only source for this is the books of Polish aerospace defence journalist[1] and military historian[2] Igor Witkowski, which claims it to be a secret weapon, or Wunderwaffe. The topic has been popularized by military journalist and author Nick Cook as well as by conspiracy theory writers such as Joseph P. Farrell. Farrell and others associate it with Nazi occultism and antigravity or free energy research. However, other researchers such as aerospace expert David Myhra view it merely as a rumor of a peculiar rocket design without a mystical background akin to the V-2 rocket program.[3]

Emphasis added. Witkowski bases his work on intelligence files that he was shown by a Polish officer, whose identity thoughtfully remains a secret. The project was probably a run-of-the-mill Nazi/Sasquatch UFO program: a lot of that research was destroyed so that the Soviets wouldn’t get it. Of course the cover-up could be related to time travel: opinions differ.

Somewhat closer to our reality, there was some research into electrogravitics in the US during the 1950s. NASA apparently sponsored some related research in the early 2000s according to this treatment by Slate magazine.

The Bell was considered so important to the Nazis that they killed 60 scientists that worked on the project and buried them in a mass grave and the only reason we know about the Bell is that the SS General that was tasked with the murders, Jakob Sporrenberg, was tried after the war by a Polish War Crimes court for murdering his own people on what subsequently became Polish soil. So it’s his Affidavit that gives us the story of the Bell.[8]

Now, as for the question about why haven’t we seen or heard more about this technology since the war, in fact, I think we have heard about it… And that episode is: the Kecksburg UFO crash in December of 1965 in Pennsylvania. On any number of data points the Bell and the Kecksburg “acorn” are similar, from their shape, to the dimensions recorded by eyewitnesses for both objects, to the peculiar sound both objects made and so on.

Given the design similarities between The Bell and the Kecksburg UFO crash, I can only conclude that DrFidelius has the right idea – the antigravity Nazis are bidding their time with the UFOs, waiting for us to let down our guard.
