In a recent Mythbusters show, they were testing hypnosis. I was wondering…whats the straightdope on this? I always THOUGHT it was a bunch of BS…sort of like all that alternative medicine stuff. But they SEEMED to be saying that, at least wrt a memory aide (they basically staged a scene then used hypnosis to supposedly get more details out of the cast than they saw without the hypnosis) that it was…confirmed??
I think this is a link to the Discovery site where you can take the supposed test yourself and see the results the cast got.
At any rate…whats the deal?
