The Explore option on Google Maps has given us, for “restaurants,” the Italian Embassy–you know, the actual Italian Embassy-- and for “coffee shops,” Exxon, and Sodexo/US Geological Survey, which presumably share a building. Since we live close to an airport, Google Maps also cheerfully recommends establishments which are located inside the airport, which we naturally can’t get to.
I googled latex (this is a markup language geared to presenting mathematical text) and, evidently, I got paint ads.
Well, well. I just tried it again and all I got were the real thing. Have they finally pegged me as a mathematician? I am curious what happens if a random doper did it.
