What's this Dylan song?

A year or so ago, I was really stoned and listening to Bob Dylan with this guy I was in love with, and this one song starting blowing, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Here’s the one part that really stuck out in my mind–a man was leaving his girlfriend, and she says to him “Give me something to remember you by.” He gives her a pieces of gum and goes outside, until he remembers he’s not wearing a shirt. He goes to his girlfriend’s, and asks for his shirt back, and she just starts screaming at him, but he can’t understand a word she says because of the gum in her mouth. Then she passes out, and he steals her rum. Or something that like. I don’t remember which album it was on, because he had a 6 CD changer stuffed with Bob Dylan. I don’t even know why I’m thinking about it now, but I gotta figure out this song! Help a girl out. . .

The song is 4th Time Around, from Blonde On Blonde.

I read that Bob Dylan was making fun of The Beatles’ Norwegian Wood with 4th Time Around. The two songs sound alike.

I am the Walrus is supposed to be John Lennon making fun of Bob Dylan’s Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again. Lennon despised what he precieved to be nonsense songs like SIOMWTMBA.

I got this from Revolution in the Head; a book that analyzes every song the Beatles ever released.
