What's this song and who sang it? (Gotta find a woman!)

There was a song when I was a kid (probably mid-70’s) that I can’t remember much of. The song’s story was something about a caveman, and I remember how he talked about how he went down to the water to find himself a woman. He “grabbed her by the hair, but the hair came off.”

The song had a weird refrain in it that went:
“Gotta find a woman!”
“Gotta find a woman!”
“Gotta find a woman!”

At the end of the song, he said weird things like “Chogladites” and “Hot Pants”.

It wasn’t really sung… it was more of a dialog to a strained 70’s tune.

Anyone have any idea what the song was called and who sang it?

I just remembered a line that said:

“Her name was Bertha… Bertha Butt… she was one of the Butt sisters.”

That used to crack me up.

OK. Just found the answer (I think), so I thought I’d share.

Ah, memories…

Google’s really good at finding song lyrics, just type in the snippets you remember, and you’ll end up with something like this.

Troy,

Thank you! That’s the song, and all the lyrics!

Much obliged.

If you didn’t find it, Todd Rundgrend (sp?) in the 1970’s wrote “We gotta get you a woman” of which the final verse says “and when we’re done with you, we gotta get me one, too!” - Jinx

A snippet of that song was included on one of those sampling montage records made in the 70’s, like Campaign '76 or some such thing. They used the “Gotta find a woman” and the “Bertha Butt, one of the Butt sisters” lines.
