Well, why do you think it’s called a hack? 
Maybe is the United States had strciter gun control, there would be more decapitation here. (Waiting for one of the European dopers to come along and say how beheading is much more civilized, precisely because Americans don’t do it.)
I don’t think anyone’s gonna step up to the plate in favor of beheading. This is not the guillotine or big-ass-axe rite of old. It’s basically slow butchery with machetes.
Unless they’re named Salome.
