It seems every day, Energizer is releasing a new type of battery. There’s titanium, E2, Lithium, barrium, einstinium, the list seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. Is there really any difference between all these different batteries, and if so, wouldn’t it be a bit better marketably to space out the time span between releasing new batteries to avoid vampire marketing? I mean, why undercut one of your products before it’s been on the market for more than a month? And what’s the difference between them, anyway?
Lady Chance is in love with those E2 Lithium batteries. She says they last twice as long (or longer) in her digital cameras.
Lithium batts are not recommended for some dig. cameras due to heat buildup - check the manual. Or better yet get Nimh rechargable batts - they should even be better and come out much cheaper (also you always have new batts to start)
Basically you have you standard alks - good all purpose. Then you have your high drain alks (durecell ultra is an exmple) They will last longer then standard alks in high drain devices (also a good chioce for dig. camer. btw) but will last shorter in low drain devices. Then you have lithium (IIRC Energizer is the only manufacturer of standard size (AA) lithium) they are good at low to med drain and last longer and are lighter (good chioce for hiking). They are not so good at high drain but due to there greater capactiy they will outlast alk but at a much higher price.
I would guess some of the energizer batteries are almost the same - they are either standard, high drain or lithium.
