Huh… I thought kanicbird was being deliberately antagonistic and posting that shit for the sake of riling up Der Trihs, because no one can say all that with a straight face. And, sometimes it’s funny to make the puppet on a string dance some more… but apparently not?

As for how I view the turn you took, at this point all I will say is it’s between you and God.
From our exchanges I can see a lot of virtue in what Der Trihs believes, such as no genocide, wiping out nations, enslaving people, etc. He also seems to want to be against the powers and authorities that he perceived that create those conditions.
I do believe he was intentionally deceived as to who are the powers and authorities.
No I’m not being deliberately antagonistic, as I stated above I do see him coming to God. I started to notice this in some of his posts about a week ago, and really do rejoice at the possibility.

Would it be hateful for me to say that I expect everyone posting to this board to die…eventually…and that when they do pass, that is all? No metaphysical happenings once the heart and brain stop. No bright lights, no pearly gate, no St. Peter passing judgment. We’ll all be gone, and with rare exception, forgotten within the next century.
The difference, however, is that I’m not going to go around telling people this - at least until prodded by some witnessing fool who thinks they’ve found the one true answer. When you get everyone else on this third rock from the sun all thinking the same way, then I’ll consider buying it. Until then, your word is as good as the drunk’s on the corners with “The End is Near” sign.
That was one of the main reasons I stopped getting into GD. I was constantly getting whooshed on who was actually nuts and who was just being facetious. Kanicbird really reads as being a jester, but it turns out he is mostly a joke. Der Thris is just not funny. He cannot bear anyone say the word “god” without foaming at the mouth and calling everybody in a 48 foot radius a monster.
A real shame because both of them have a point to make and maybe some people would take them seriously if they weren’t so completely out of it.

I am a man.
My lazy arse spends all day outside the house. My boy goes to school. I stay home with the girl. We run all kinds of errands. We spend most of the morning at the park. I even haul a table there so she can paint under a tree and not among four walls. She doesn’t watch a single minute of TV while she is alone with me. At naptime, I put her to bed and I clean the house, cook dinner, do laundry, etc.
It is not that I don’t like to get my arse out of my recliner, It is that I don’t want it to sit for 3 hours in a waiting room to speak for 3 minutes to the same person who answers the phone and told me I needed to go there in person.
That has happened exactly 3 times in the last 3 years. One for Sprint, two for the cable company.
I have many flaws, quirks, lose bolts and hangups. Being a one note piano is not one of them.

If kanicbird seriously believes all the stuff he posts, then he’s dangerously delusional. If he doesn’t, and posts it to get a rise out of people, then he’s an asshole for spewing that kind of crap around. Either way, I just skip over his posts when I get to them. Calling him a coward. **Der Trihs ** is indeed biased against religion and religious people. If you feel that makes him a bigot, it’s certainly within your rights to say so. “Coward”, however, in the context you’re using it, is a bit less subjective.
Are you honestly saying that you believe he’s a coward for not calling for the persecution and eradication of people he disagrees with? And if not, what exactly *is * cowardly about what he’s said?

Not really. Just because you think somebody (or a group) is evil doesn’t make you a liar just because you don’t advocate their death. I personally think Phelps and his clan are pure hate-filled evil, but that doesn’t mean I want to kill or harm them. Doens’t mean I’m not being honest when I say I find them despicable.
