[Nitpick] Pot is TOO a hallucinogen. Hallucinogens don’t necessarily cause literal hallucinations, just distortions in normal perceptions. Even LSD doesn’t usually cause people to see anything that isn’t there.

THC is classified as a hallucinogenic. “Uppers” are amphetimines and other stimulents which marijuana certainly is not. [/nitpick]

Technically speaking, THC would be classified as a very light psychedelic. When most people say ‘hallucinogenic’ they generally refer to strong psychedelics, but misconstrue their effects as deliriants.
