I mentioned one real world example in a previous post. You’re playing a board game and you’re picking a color to play. The pieces are all identical and will have no impact on how the game is played. So it’s purely a matter of what color you like.
And don’t answer that you’ll just let everyone else pick and you’ll take whatever’s left. They’ve already picked their colors. So now it’s your turn to pick a color. What color do you pick?
Life’s about choices. How do people who can’t handle making even a trivial decision get through the day?
And I also don’t see what’s so nonsensical about it. If the person questioning added context, such as “favorite car color”, then I’d give my answer accordingly. I wouldn’t paint the outside of my house blue, but as it stands in the most general sense, it’s my favorite.
If I were to make a conscious decision in that case, it would be to choose the color that the other player likes the least. Not to be nice, but for gamesmanship. They WILL have to look at their least favorite color for the entire game. Otherwise, I will probably pick the one closest to me.
Ice cream? I pick whatever I’m in the mood for at the time. It’s seldom the same.
I would like to say “Kelly green” and if I could afford it I would have my car, now a dark blue, repainted that color.
Is Kelly green a pure green, or is it yellowish?
