Really surprising to hear that. Supermarkets in the southern half of Florida of course have both, but we had dried long before we started getting the fresh – so much so that to me, chorizo is dry by default, and you have to specify fresh for me to think of it.
I can’t remember the brand name offhand, but the one I see most often is in a yellow vacuum pack with the brand name in red along the top., usually on the Hispanic food aisle. It’s not GOYA, which has a pretty good chorizo as well.
