Ahh good old Starbucks. I was told just today that it was ILLEGAL to serve my coffee without a lid. :rolleyes:
This happened a year or so ago too, and I explained that store policy is not equal to municipal laws, and that they would not be breaking any laws. The funny thing is that I then ordered my beverage in a mug since I was drinking it in store. Apparently there’s no lid law on mugs.
How hard is it to remove the lid after they hand it to you, again? Yeah the counter clerk said something stupid. Walk a mile in her shoes for a couple months… you’d probably say some stupid shit to asshole customers, too.
I suspect the point is she was trained to say that i.e. not her fault.
