What's your Halloween movie this year?

This year, I had a Bela-Lugosi-fest, since I realized I had enough of his very short films in my collection to do so, starting with:

[ul]
[li]“The Phantom Creeps” (A cut-down version of the serial)[/li][li]Then the incoherent but highly entertaining “Invisible Ghost” (Nobody’s invisible, and there is no ghost).[/li][li]“The Eyes of London” (which I didn’t remember having, but turned out to be on the same disc as “Invisible Ghost”)[/li][li]“Plan 9”[/li][li]“Bride of the Monster”[/li][li]And then I started “Glen or Glenda?” but it was getting late and I’d given away all my candy, so I only watched it up to Bela’s “dragon” speech and then went to bed.[/li][/ul]

“Flatliners” A little tame, but it’s set during Halloween and moi loves Jack, er… Keiffer Sutherland.

We watched “The Ring” while handing out candy - it was my second time watching it, and while the horror elements are still okay, I was pleasantly surprised at moments by how beautiful and well-shot that film is.

We re-watched “Zombieland” a couple of weeks ago, and I wish we had waited for Halloween - I love that movie so much.

These are some really good movies! Halloween movie season is second only to Christmas movie season, IMHO.

You may possibly find you love the first story in the “Tales From The Crypt” film as much as I do. It brings Christmas and Halloween together in a tale featuring a murderous Joan Collins trying to escape the clutches of an escaped mental hospital patient who is dressed as Santa Claus. Darkly hilarious and scary in equal measure

Actually, the whole film is fantastic. I couldn’t get enough of these mid 70s compilation horror movies.
