What's your last meal?

If you had any control over it whatsoever, what would your last meal be?

I can’t make a decision…

A) A bucket of suicidally hot wings with extra blue cheese and a couple of pints of either Killian’s or Labatt Blue…

or…

B) A big honking prime rib, rare, with two twice-baked potatoes and a glass of a good red wine.

My mother’s chicken kiev, wild rice, french cut green beans, warm croissants, real butter, creme brulee and a Fresca.

I’d almost commit a crime just to have that.

Last meal: a bucket of KFC, fries, extra gravy
If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life: pepperoni pizza

Haggis with Neeps and Taters (made all fancy schmancy style) with a tall glass of good whiskey and about two or three black and tans. Of course you could order just about anything you ever wanted, just not eat it all, or if you did you wouldn’t have to worry about gaining weight  Other things I would consider would be the hot wings, a hot dog from a ballpark, and some of that good curry fries.

I wish I could remember the name of the website that chronicles the last meals of about 50 (former) death row inmates. It was pretty funny, in a morbid sort of way. Interesting to find out what you AREN’T allowed to have as an inmate.

Mine? A ton of fried shrimp, medium-rare filet, basmati rice, an artichoke with melted butter, a green salad with a balsalmic or caesar dressing, cheescake, and Kona coffee to wash it all down.

Oh man, I knew I should have eaten lunch today…

IIRC from when McVeigh was executed, the federal execution protocols allow a final meal of no more than $20. Now I’m not a believer in coddling criminals, and I know there has to be some limit or some smartass would order a couple of pounds of that $100/lb. beef from Japan (and what’s up with THAT anyhow?) but damn if $20 isn’t chintzy for one’s last meal on Earth!

Last meal huh?

Fried chicken
Mashed potatoes/gravy
Fried okra
sliced tomatos
Sweet tea
Some more fried okra
Blackeyed peas/ with a slice of raw onion
Fordhook lima beans/w/butter
Cornbread
Some more fried okra
Pecan pie
Banana pudding

I would surely die happy…

and I’m sure I would “JUST DIE” if I had to eat some of those
things listed on the previous post… GAG!!!

12 oz. Black-Angus Ribeye steak marinated in Worcestershire sauce, cooked to a nice Medium…homemade mashed 'tatoes with a lake of hot cream gravy in the middle…piping hot jalapeno cornbread loaded down with REAL butter, not that wussy margarine crap…fresh hot homemade apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top…and a six-pack of JW Dundee’s Honey Brown Lager to wash it down with…
[sub]now I’m all hungry…[/sub]

Crab legs, macaroni & cheese, sweet tea, and Newcastle Brown Ale.

It’s my last meal, and I don’t care if they go together or not.

An in-house all you can eat buffet.

I have a few ideas:

A Hungryman Salisbury steak TV dinner

A bucket o’ KFC

A Taco Del Mar* fish burrito

An Olympia Pizza*, half #5, half #25

Anything from Jalisco*, the mexican restaurant

Some of my dad’s rigatoni

Some of my mom’s stuffed artichoke

2 cucumber rolls, 2 California rolls, and 2 Shrimp rolls, extra wasabi

For a beverage I would like a Redhook Brewery Blone Ale or a Full Sail Golden Ale.

Appetizers

  1. Sushi platter featuring Eel, Tuna, Salmon, Octopus, etc. I would like to specify the kind that sits on the lump of rice and not the kind that is rolled up.
  2. A lightly spiced, perfectly cooked samosa with that yummy, almost sweet sauce that comes out with the burn-your-mouth chutneys.
  3. Fresh Sardines in a lemon, garlic, olive oil marinade.

Salad
Spring greens with artichoke hearts, red, yellow, and orange peppers, red onion, dried sour cherries, goat cheese and raspberry vinagrette.

[sub] Great, now I’m hungry,dammit [/sub]

Damn it! Now I really want to go visit my mother! I’m the only person in this house that will eat all that stuff.

Well, off to the Farmer’s Market to see if I can find lima beans and blackeyed peas.
