Wheee! More geography

I really need to figure out how to find these answers in the factbook.

Anyway, here’s her question for this week. I was thinking an African country, but just can’t find it.

  1. Official language is French

  2. Currency is the Franc

  3. Agriculture-based economy

  4. Main crops are cassava, corn, millet, sorghum and yams.

  5. Head of State title is President

  6. About 400 miles in length and 40 miles wide.

Sounds like Togo or Benin. They are both approximately the same length and width, but one may meet the measurements closer than the other. I believe Benin’s primary crop is cotton, so Togo might be what you’re looking for. Don’t take my word for it. Do your research.

Yup, it was Togo. Thanks Cillasi.
