When Amazon.com takes over the SDMB

So there I am, innocently minding my own business, reading a thread about some music being played at a Borders book store. Hmmm, says I, maybe if I go over to Borders.com they might have a “Borders Recommends” section that might shed some light.

Off I go to www.borders.com, and lo and behold, I’m face to face with Amazon.com. Apparently big A is now the online partner for Borders. First Toys ‘R’ Us, then Target, now Borders. When will it end?

Taking this thought to it’s obvious conclusion, let us imagine what will happen when Amazon takes over the SDMB

(insert dream sequence music here)

Amazon really are taking over the world. Go to Waterstones.com, the site for the largest chain of bookshops in Europe, and you get Amazon too. I don’t like it. Bah.

I don’t even want to think about what you’d get by clicking on Scylla’s ‘Ewe Sluts’…

Probably the same ones I get now…
