Mine is inflatable so it is pretty easy to stow away until needed. I’ve never used one before but had a couple trans-Pacific flights recently and I was happy I finally got one.
I dont think i have ever actually bought a pillow.
Buy a good heavy pillow case, yes.
Stuff it with the right amount of down, and sew the end shut.
5 or 6 bucks a guess for a good thread count case, the down is free, kind of.
Or maybe a waste byproduct is more accurate?
all that foam and gel etc stuff is totally worthless for someone who sleeps on their face.
nothing like having the pillow try to suffocate you.
Feathers, you can punch into the correct shape real quick, and done.
Mattress? I supposed a piece of plywood would do, i sleep on my face, so it isn’t like i need to worry much about spinal position or support, as long as it does not feel like a bunch of metal springs with a sheet tossed over them, i’m good
Yes, i know i sleep weird, tell me something everyone else has not already done since birth, but it is the only way i can sleep
Mattress, i can understand costing money, there is a lot of time and material put into making it.
A pillow? Yea not so much, gotta be a pure profit business there.
This is the “buy once cry once” mantra of people who overpay for shit.
Sometimes things are worth what you pay and sometimes they’re not.
The best pillows I ever bought cost $20 for two from some guy going door to door selling frikking pillows (who the heck does that?). I wish I had bought a lifetime supply because they are much better than the $100 pillows I have.
Tools OTOH are generally worth what you pay for them.
