Well, obviously it wasn’t meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.
The context of the Beattidues is the Kingdom of Heaven (or Kingdom of God). When God’s Kingdom comes (as goes the Lord’s Prayer), these things shall result: the meek will inherit the earth; the mourners will be comforted; those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled; the merciful will be shown mercy; the righteous shall see God.
The main theme of Jesus’ teachings was that the Kingdom of Heaven/God was at hand, already bursting forth. It will be fully realized after the resurrection on the last day when God’s kindgom is fully established on earth and all things are reconciled to him.
When will that happen, exactly? Jesus said “about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
This is so odd. So he doesn’t know when he’s going to have everything mopped up and set to rights? I’m reminded of that saying “he sacrificed himself to fulfill a promise he made to himself…”

Jesus may or may not have said that. All that we know is that the Bible says that he said that. If he preached that the apocalypse was coming within a decade or two from his death, it would have been wise for the writers of the Bible to make his statements a bit less specific.
