No doubt we’re going to get the leather fetishists telling us that they invented everything, The Beatles, New Romantics, Rock and Roll, paint balling etc and that the Gays just followed on after them.

I have no cite but I saw a t.v. documentary where someone said that Mercury put round the rumour that he swung both ways but was in fact %100 Gay, he was also a taker rather then a giver.

I haven’t seen the band members touch this very much, but Brian May once commented about the song “Love of My Life”. It was written to a girl. I got the feeling that Brian felt this was Freddie’s most important person in life, but since no-one was able to figure out his sexuality, he avoided the word lover.
