Ok. So maybe I lack certain solving skills, but what in the name of all that’s good is the key or code or whatever to “https://boards.straightdope.com/t/when-in-discourse-of-sequential-threads”.

I have read some posts and am pretty disinterested, but what is this thread trying to achieve?

I don’t mind admitting ignorance at all, but, really? What is the key to these posts? Everybody knows it except me.

If I am not clear, it’s because I have no idea what that thread is about. Please enlighten me.

Good heavens, will an op please fix the headline to show the actual thread title, please?

Sometimes, when folks look at the threads on the Dope, two are right next to each other that make for an amusing combination. The various iterations of the Sequential Threads thread are just people pointing out those amusing combinations.

What Chronos said, plus Discourse is the name of the message board software.

“When in discourse of sequential threads” is a play on “when in the course of human events.”

It’s also a sequel to a series of long-running threads, which is probably why the concept isn’t explained. I do remember earlier threads having explanations of what the threads were for.
