When medicine labels attack.

My cat was just diagnosed with feline diabetes. Highlights from the perscription drug label:

Anderson, Murphy “CAT”

Take a half hour before a meal.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages when taking this medication.
Avoid prolongued exposure to sunlight.

Poor Murph. I think all the joy has gone out of his life now…

hey at least it didn’t say he couldn’t lick himeselve for a while

Heh … how many cats does your pharmacist think regularly partake of acoholic beverages?

But that avoiding direct sunlight is going to be rough on the poor thing. I don’t know about your cat, but mine live for following (and susquently sleeping in) patches of sunlight around the living room.

Well, at least he can still drive and operate heavy machinery.

Oh, your poor baby. Go out and get him a new catnip toy. And give him a scratch behind the ears for me.

Hmmmmmm…

“Do not take if breastfeeding.”

Murph, I think you’re safe on that one.

Andygirl, best of luck and wishes for treatment and a long life for Murphy (better take stock in those elbow length dogtraining gloves though if you have to medicate your cat before meals).
