Sometime last summer, I’m sure. I get migraines from being dehydrated / overheated very easily, and they’re almost guaranteed to make me barf. It typically happens once a summer.
Har. It’s not just a job, it’s a vocation. At least that’s what I tell myself - I’m pretty sure other vet techs feel the same way.
And I have to tell ya, what attracts dogs to certain items is, unfortunately, scent. Which is why so many dogs seem to have a penchant for socks and underwear - always prior to laundering - never after! I wouldn’t have been grossed out at all if little doggie had found those things still in their wrappers!
The worst of it is, right before the spoiler you said “cake”. I was all and then I was totally :mad:
Why didn’t I see this thread yesterday? I could have simulpostpuked!
I was majorly sick.
Last time for me was 1996. Only once, and I spent the entire rest of the day fighting the urge to do it again (and I won!). Put me down as another emetophobe.
Prior to that was…let’s see…1984. I was home from college and ate KFC. Blamed it on the biscuits, but no idea why. Didn’t eat KFC again for probably 10 years.
I know the last time before that was when I ate some bad Chinese food, but I don’t remember when it was.
Yeah, I don’t barf often since childhood, thank goodness. I would rather be sick with a head cold for a month than barf once.
I had a puke-free stretch from about 1984 to 1995, then I overindulged in alchohol a few times from 1995-1997, and I haven’t thrown up since then (unless you count a “vurp” as defined in the original post).
I’m prone to motion sickness, so nausea on long car trips can be a problem unless I do most of the driving.
Last time that I ralfed, though, was about six months ago when I got hit with a short-term stomach bug.
It’s been at least 10 years for me. Times I can remember, in the ~early 90s I got the flu and threw up a bunch of times. Then again in the 90s I ate feta cheese and later threw up. Wasn’t certain at the time it as feta, but I ate it at another place some time later and threw up again. Funny thing is this past weekend I was eating a slice of veggie pizza and noticed a salty taste as I got near the crust, it was feta cheese. I quit eating and we headed home, I was resigned to some barfing but it never happened. Either I’ve changed, it never was the feta, or I didn’t eat enough of it.
