When will Google start archiving message boards like Board Reader does?

Seems to be a logical next step for Google to start archiving selected message boards like board reader does. The huge information resource that is the SDMB is effectively closed to net search engines.

Is there any reason why this would be a bad idea or legally unworkable?

I’ve seen some message board threads on Google. I don’t know if they archive every one, though.

There must be a reason why they don’t archive this board daily. I have been on other web sites their data shows up soon after it’s posted. Hmm.

It’s your fault handy, with your eleventy jillion posts! They would have to devote an entire server just to you!

The rights to the posts on this board are owned by the Chicago Reader as a compilation copyright. Google would have to ask permission of the Chicago Reader to do this – and would have to do so for every BBS they archive.
