The turnpike really goes SW to NE but mostly N/S due to the geography of the state being roughly 3x as high as it is wide. While I associate the “Where do you live?” “What exit?” more with the GSP it does apply to the turnpike as well. It also doesn’t hurt that the GSP is in the more population dense eastern half of the state so there’s a good chance a NJ resident does use the GSP regularly & therefore, “What exit?” is somewhat synonymous with “Where do you live?”
I posted “This workplace has been velociraptor free for ___ days” on our safety board, once. I was surprised that it stayed up for months. It was in a main hallway.
