The last time I played kickball was certainly less than ten years ago (I would have been in my late 20s), at a get-together picnic in Virginia for employees of the nearest Blockbuster stores. Someone had the brilliant idea that we should do so barefoot, using plastic forks to hold down the bases, which were made of paper plates. Thankfully, nobody got hurt. It was a fun time, though, until it started to rain.
I am totally going to go to a toy store and buy a red rubber ball (is that where they sell them, or do I have to go to Dick’s or something? I don’t even know) for the next time my friends and I are all together, which granted, isn’t that often since we all have jobs and families and shit.
Look up “playground ball” or “kickball” on Amazon, they have plenty. A really nice one is between $10-20.
I was just thinking of this topic yesterday, after seeing a story on a local adult dodgeball league I never knew existed.
