Where are the LoTR Protests?

Alright, alright, alright!! If it’ll make you feel better, I’ll protest it …

We’re not gonna take it any more!! C’mon, who’s with me?

The Princess And The Goblin was written by George MacDonald, not G. K. Chesterton. Chesterton wrote the Father Brown stories, as well as a bunch of theological stuff.

Come to think of it, Star Wars didn’t get any religious protestors either, did it?

Harry Potter was written by a single mother. Of course we all know that a single mother finding success on her own is a symbol of the degradation of the sanctity of the family unit.

Single mothers can either be pitiable or they can be immoral and EVIL!!!

.

George MacDonald’s The Princess and the Goblins and The Princess and Curdie can both be found under Youth Classics at The World Wide School Library, as can many, many other very good out-of-copyright books. Highly recommended site.

My 1000th post, by the way. Big whoop.

Don’t forget the wonderful “The Man who was Thursday”, which, while theological in part, is a very good read indeed.
