Where Are You on the Political Compass

I’m casting suspicious glances at anyone who winds up on the positive side of the libertarian/authoritarian ledger…

Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46

Seems to put me not too far from Ghandi so not in too bad of a neighborhood. There were very few questions I could answer strongly agree/disagree so I would have guessed I would have been closer to the center. I do tend to be a “live and let live” sort of person though.

I’ve moved further to the right since the last time I took the test, although some questions could have gone either way depending on my mood, so who the hell knows how accurate it really is.

Man, I’ve really become more liberal as I’ve aged. I’m surprised to find my self on the Libertarian side, though.

Economic Left/Right: -0.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.87

I’m still a centrist with, at this point arguably, some conservative opinions, but I can’t help seeing what I’m seeing.

Economic Left/Right: -3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.15

Economic Left/Right: 5.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.51

I’m in the quadrant that I expected I’d be in, but I thought I’d be more socially libertarian than I rated.

Rather close to Milton Friedman’s ranking, too…

ETA: Some of the questions are things I don’t give a rat’s ass about, but there was no option for don’t care. I had to opt for agree or disagree.

I would have thought both numbers would be higher, but some of the questions were worded in such a way that the answer I had to give (based on the question phrasing) probably does not reflect my overall belief system.

About the same as Ralph Nadar.

Economic Left/Right: 0.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.82

I’d say it’s pretty accurate.

I also went back and took it with what I believed were my “conservative” values before I came here:

L/R: -3.12
L/A: -0.62

Economic Left/Right: -5.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.23

Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.56

Like Jose Zapatero. WTH?

Economic Left/Right: -2.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.72

Wow, that puts me in the Libertarian Left grid. I considered myself a moderate conservative socially and a moderate economically, but this compass seems to disagree.
