I’m a big Grant Morrison fan, so when I heard that his arc on JLA Classified (#1-3) was actually a sort of prelude to Seven Soldiers, I picked it up. I LOVED the story - I thought these Ultramarine characters were totally awesome concepts (the guy that pilots a big blob body that speaks lethal equations, the character that monitors and affects their progress in the pocket universe using a “quantum word processor,” and so on), the sort of things I’ve only previously seen in The Invisibles and so on.
But, as I’ve mentioned in other threads, I don’t read many DC comics and am generally unfamiliar witih the DC Universe. Where can I find further adventures of these characters? As far as I can tell, there is not and has not been an “Ultramarines” book - so where do I look for more of these characters adn their adventures? Please don’t tell me that they’re just something that Morrisson cooked up for this little arc!
The Ultramarines appeared in Morrison’s run on JLA. I’m not sure on the issues, as my copies are inaccessable right now, and DCUguide doesn’t have an Ultra-Marine chronology. But it followed close on DC 1,000,000.
