I’m looking to change my car insurance, because the renewal rate my current company is offering me is absurd. I’ve been able to compare quotes on the web, and I’ve been able to look up how the various insurers rate as far as financial stability goes. What I want to find is some rating of how they are at customer service…how much hassle it is to get a claim paid, how long they stonewall you for, stuff like that. Anyone have any web sites to offer for this?
Rating customer service is tough. How long is too long for a claim to be processed?
Consumer Reports did a study back in 1999 ranking auto insurance companies. You’ll have to subscribe to their website or check at your library for the September 99 issue.
