Where Can I Get a Seagull?

You can buy a Seagull for $75.00 (US).

Mythology? Don’t Mormons believe seagulls really exist, then?

In Tampa on the beach there’s a bird sanctuary where they tend to injured birds. They had dozens of seagulls and probably quite a few that will never fly again, I’m sure they’d be willing to provide you with one if you can show that you will take care of it.

Oh, you have the TIMID sort of gulls. The usual sort don’t wait for food to be dropped, they’ll try to steal it out of your hand.

You should hear my father on the subject of seagulls someday. HIS father was a commercial fisherman, and my father sometimes accompanied him on his trips. My father has absolutely no kind words for seagulls at all. He has a lot of colorful words for them, though.

The thing is they DO believe in them. Worship them practically. According to LDS canon, at least what was taught 20+ yrs ago, there was an infestation of cricket in the Salt Lake valley. The crickets were so thick people didn’t dare open their doors and go outside and all the crops were being eaten. When LO! because the holy had prayed God sent seagulls in and they cleared out the valley in a couple days. So the faitful, who were too squeamish or too stupid to catch and eat the crickets, wouldn’t starve!

Hell, the local Indians would have had the valley cleared and been feasting in less than a day… darned heathens!

So Utah’s state bird is a garbage dump scavenger. Makes ya proud don’t it!?

Same here, but with good reason – every Wal-Mart around here shares a parking lot with a McDonald’s or Wendy’s. How about it? Any fast food places adjoining yours?
