I would like to inform my opinion of Medicare for All (in the United States). Can anyone provide some resources? Is there a specific policy proposal (or multiple proposals) that I can look at? Think-tank articles, academic reviews, cost estimates, political analysis, etc.
I did find a CBO paper titled “Key Design Components and Considerations for Establishing a Single-Payer Health Care System”, which I will read soon enough.

I am also aware that the original Medicare proposal by Truman was intended to cover everybody, but I have found next to nothing about the debates from that era. I think I read one sentence in a textbook about healthcare that the hospitals and doctors wouldn’t stand for it, therefore it failed. I would appreciate it if anyone can point me to more detailed information about that debate.
And I am sure there are more threads hidden away regarding Medicare for All circa 2009-2010.
It will obviously take me some time read up on all of this, but I will eventually get around to having an informed opinion. Any additional resources are much appreciated.
