My girlfriend wants to see the whole shootin’ match–the slinky supermodels, the catwalk, the designer threads, popping cameras, and spectators draped in black.
Is such an event ever held in NYC, or is a trip to Paris or Milan necessary?
(Yes, I know about the upcoming “Fashion Rocks” show. Can’t attend.)
London is another possibilty. NYC is one of the four major fashion nodes, so there’s probably a lot of potential viewing.
A warning though: I once watched a fashion shoot on the banks of a loch, and the women are very striking but unbelievably, skeletaly thin - to a disturbing degree. Carla Bruni and Christy Turlington were there - in real life they both look(ed) really ill.
Fashion Week is held in NYC in Bryant Park.
