We were living in the CA Bay Area, and drove down to Monterey, where my uncle had gotten us a family discount at a medium-quality hotel. We had 3 days there, it was very nice. (We were penniless, and did the whole wedding and honeymoon for under $1000.)
Well, talking to the missus last night I think we’ve decided on Savannah after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. The whitewater rafting we are going to try at a later point.

This won’t work for two different reasons - bux and time of year - but I’ll post it anyway. We did 4 days in Sydney, 3 days on Heron Island on the Great Barrier Reef, spent 4 days in Tasmania , then drove both islands of New Zealand over the last 9 days of the trip.
We’ll never have an opportunity like that again.
We went to Williamsburg, VA for a week for our honeymoon. For our first anniversary, we did a 3 day weekend in St. Augustine, FL. We haven’t gone anywhere else for anniversaries due to my husband’s job. We are looking at Kennedy Space Center when we get a chance. We would like to do an Alaskan cruise for our 10 year anniversary in 2012.
We pick “different” spots, but they are always enjoyable.
