Where does "Alice: The Madness Returns" keep savegames?

Dammit, it’s looking like I’m going to have to format and re-install my OS again.

But — I finally got a copy of Alice II. I finally got it to work with my hinky hardware on a particular instance of OS installation.

And, I finally got past the point where I was stuck forever; the kind of sticky place in a PC game that I used to pay my son three bucks to get me past when he was about ten years old.
(How did I get past it this time, you ask? Well, he’s grown up now, and he did it for free. :D)

Is there any way of saving my game progress to another drive? This game is very much unlike the oldschool games I’m familiar with – I don’t even know if it has a “savegame” file.

i’ve not backed it up before, but i’m using the Steam version and the files seem to be under My Documents/My Games/Alice Madness Returns.

it’s probably safer to copy the entire folder even though the savegame files appears to be stored under AliceGame/CheckPoint.

you might want to wait for someone who’s certain of this before you format though, or you could try renaming the folder to and fro first.
