I tried searching this question, but doing a search for “Israel” + “oil” anywhere on the web returns results that aren’t very helpful.
So where does Israel import oil from? Do any of the Arab states sell it to her, and if they do, do they try to keep quiet about it? Or does Israel have to find other sellers like Russia?
Israel buys oil from a variety of sources; Mexico, Canada, Norway, Russia, etc.
Oil is a fungible resource, as economists would say; you can buy it from basically anyone, because it’s all pretty much the same stuff. Israel could even buy oil from places that don’t have extra oil to sell, because by buying that you just make that country buy more oil from elsewhere.
That’s why OPEC countries try to control oil prices by setting quotas - limiting how much they produce. It’s difficult to control what happens to the oil once they sell it to anyone.
