I have nearly 2000 Friends on Facebook. I have Unfriended assholes without compunction and with no obligation to explain why. I am quite certain that a few hundred people have Unfriended me over the years for similar reasons and I have neither noticed nor cared.
Get more Friends, join more Groups, play as you like on Facebook and don’t worry about what others think.
(If you find that no one wants to play with you then the problem lies within you, not them.)
I would imagine some people here have had that FB friend they interacted with the most on/off for nearly 6 months before they got unfriended by said friend. Sure, the reasons for getting unfriended might be different than what happened with me.
I would like that the unfriending clears out all entries I posted on their Wall that would otherwise be seen by that person or a person that is still FB friends with them. That way I might not necessarily worry as much knowing I still have posts there.
So, he unfriended on 12/22. Besides being in the hospital since March (lung-related issues) and dealing with other things in this life, I don’t get why he hasn’t blocked me yet.
While removing a homophobic antisemite from his Facebook feed is a noble choice, I’m sure that this guy has higher priorities right now than dealing with you.
Chris still did some posts while I was still friends with him, of which my last post while friends with him was on 12/18 or 12/19. He didn’t seem irritated with those remarks.
I suspect that he doesn’t think well of or much about you. He’s got far more important things to deal with and you add nothing of value to his remaining life.
What I weird about some voice actor FB pages is that some will have a “Follow” button on their personal page while still maintaining a separate fan page. Why some don’t do it this way is beyond me.
If I had not not said anything controversial on any voice actor FB pages, then me getting unfriended/blocked by any of them wouldn’t make as much sense (unless they just didn’t want to be friends with me anymore). Only then would asking about re-friending me might it carry some weight.
Kadmos1–your actions bring to mind many words unsuitable for outside the pit, so I’ll stick to these six–pound them into your head: he’s just not that into you.
About 10 years ago, RT Rybak, then Mayor of Minneapolis hit the Facebook limit of 5,000 friends. This was disturbing to him, as his use of social media was a big part of his election campaign (which was pretty rare back then). He was working (largely by making a fuss in the media) to get this limit increased. Their suggestion was that he set up multiple accounts, but that would defeat the purpose for him.
I don’t know the details, but he was able to get them to make a change to bypass this limit. I think that it is still a limit for default users, but that there is a way to request that Facebook bypass that limit for you – after giving an appropriate reason.
Bullshit. Never happened. You can make a Fan Page which has no limit to the number people but a regular account always will have that limit.
Just for fun, I took a few seconds to Google it and Ryback did try in 2009 and FB essentially ignored him. As if they’d do it for some obscure dude running for mayor and not a major rock star or something.
