Where have all the Mack trucks gone?

Yeah - after seeing this thread title the other day, the first truck I saw was a Mack dirt hauler.

What made me post, tho, was the fact that Townes Van Zandt’s White Freightliner Blues has been my current earworm lately! Hopeing to infect some of youse guys!:stuck_out_tongue:

Freightliners are also made in Saltillo and Santiago Mexico

Yeah well, the US is not the only market for semitrucks. I understand they buy them in Mexico and Central America, too.

Yep. We call them tandems. As in two rear axles. “I need a tandem load of gravel” About 8-10 yards, depending on the work site and what pass it has to be hauled over.

Plenty of Mac tandems in Colorado mountains.

They do buy trucks there, although most are used trucks from the U.S. Most of the new trucks built in Mexico are shipped to the U.S. to be sold.
