Last weekend at the lake while cleaning debris I found a nice gold bracelet. It is 14k and is 15 pennyweight. I checked the spot price for that today and it was $847. The pawn shop wanted to give me 15% of the spot price. I thought that was outrageous.
What should I expect to get? And where? Thanks.

The average person can not buy gold even at spot price. The dealer want his cut at the time of sale.
On ebay. if you can show a picture of the item on a scale, and it is marked 14k ect you will get melt or a little bit above if it is a nice piece.
I sold a gold chain where melt was $400 and the best pawn offer was $200 for $425 on ebay.
This applies if you have good ebay feedback.
