I’ve been impatiently waiting for Captain Trips as well. ![]()
I would never go to OK. Sooners are so dumb, they elected Jim Inhofe to represent them. I think it is in the middle of a severe drought. Maybe Forks, WA. A small town by a temperate rain forest. Only downside is the vampires.
That’s it, how about Goldilocks Island?
I’ll stay right here in the Sacramento area. Not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter. Good climate and soil for crops and livestock. No tornadoes, no hurricanes, no earthquakes here in the valley. The only environmental hazard to worry about in the post-apocalyptic era might be flooding in the winter, but sticking to the high ground will take care of that.
Good point. Maybe a well-appointed farmhouse 20 miles or so away from a mid-sized city - I still want to be able to get to a library on occasion, and for the first while, we’re (you’ve all survived my apocalypse - yay!) going to want to scavenge food and supplies.
That sounds like Madagascar. The problem with that is that it’s an ocean away.
Sacramento, eh? {Makes note}
You got it. ![]()
Is there a reason we’re all staying in the US (except for the Madagascar comment)?
Personally, I would trek a whole lot further south to Costa Rica. Great weather, tons of tropical fruit for easy harvesting, gorgeous views.
Hmm, good point. We’re probably all just staying in the US because that’s what we know (I only know from visiting, though). I hear Costa Rica is very nice.
