Can’t remember if I started a new Thread for the question, or if I just asked it in an existing Futurama Thread . . . anyway, no one was able to provide an answer:
I always wondered if the Planet Express building was on the Hudson River or the East River. No one was able to point to any strong clues from the series. I’ve finally been able to answer the question myself, upon rewatching last summer’s That Darn Katz episode:
[SPOILER]After the rotation of the Earth has been brought to a stop, the team are unable to get the Earth turning again. Amy realizes that, although they can not restart the rotation as originally directed, they can get the Earth to start rotating in the opposite direction.
So, with Earth’s rotation now going backward, the final line of the show ends “as sure as the sun sets in the East”. We see an exterior shot of the Planet Express Building with the river in the foreground. Beyond the building, and across town, we see the sunset- in the East. So, we now know that the Planet Express Building is on the Hudson- the main entrance of the building is facing North.
It had always felt to me like the building was on the East River. I always tought of the exterior shots with the river in the foreground as facing West. Seems I was wrong. I have a whole new perspective now.[/SPOILER]
You can kind of piece it together from an earlier episode than that, “When Aliens Attack.”
A similar thing occurs at the end of the episode, where Fry says “At the end of the show, everything is back to the way it was” and it cuts to an exterior shot of the Planet Express building, with most of New New York City in flames, and the river/bay, including the Statue of Liberty, in the foreground. Thus:

I think my eye was always drawn to the Statue, I might never have realized you could see the Planet Express Building in that shot. Does it cut to that shot, or does it zoom out from the Planet Express Building? I’ll have to rewatch to see how hard I need to be on myself for never noticing.
